July Update: Putting it all together!

Hey folks!

Update’s out a bit early this month since Nick is on his way out of town for a bit, but we wanted to make sure we reached out with our “I promise we’re still working our asses off on this thing!” monthly update.

Adobe, I love (and hate) you so

As you may have already seen if you follow us on social media (and you DO, right? …RIGHT?!?!?), we’ve all but finished our final edits which means we get down to the nitty gritty of taking this very long Word Document and making it into a proper, professional-looking RPG Corebook. With a shoutout to our wonderful graphic designer Cassandra Conklin who made our master pages and templates, here’s your first look at the rough draft of the HONEST-TO-ODIN Sagas of Midgard book as we reveal the inDesign pages for the Foreword!

While these pages are, like everything so far, still a work-in progress, at time of writing we have the first FORTY PAGES formatted into inDesign so far.

As always, THANK YOU to our backers. We’ve really enjoyed seeing the book become more and more “real” by the day (even if we do have occasional losing battles with inDesign), and we have you to thank for that.

State of the Art

The downside of doing this update a few days early is that we’re still waiting on final pieces from a few of our artists. As such, we’re not going to do a featured artist this month (BUT JUST YOU WAIT UNTIL AUGUST!). However, as you can see from the pages above (featuring art by our Art Director Leah Porter and Cover Artist James Cornell), you’ve got a lot to look forward to.

The Illuminated Manuscript Character Sheet is also coming along nicely; Leah’s finishing up designs that complement the current design of the sheet and experimenting with colors AS WE SPEAK. If her other paintings are any indication, it’s gonna look great.

In Closing

I know there’s not a ton to report this month, but as we said above, it’s important to us to reach out regularly so that you know we’re still working hard to deliver your Sagas of Midgard Corebooks on (or preferably ahead of) schedule. You put your faith in us when you backed, and we’re not about to let you down.
Hope you’re having a great summer and as always, feel free to reach out to us with any questions or comments. We love hearing from you!
-Nick and Dom
